New swords for sale!

Hello!

Here's a quick rundown of what's happening in the next couple weeks:

There is a new shinobi-katana that will be for sale.
We have one "Ukigumo" wakizashi up for grabs, let us know if you want a custom job on it. (Visit www.oniforge.com for more info on the ukigumo swords)
Our "Onibochou" fittings have arrived, and the katana will be completed soon.
We are currently working on two "Ashigaru" blades from Oni Forge, one with a blue wave theme, and the other with a spring plum theme. (Photos will be up soon)

The gallery section of the website will soon be updated to include all blade specs and mounting specs as it was on the previous site. This should make it easier to reference past work and see what styles of work we have to offer.

People have been asking about how to purchase our products..--
For now, just send us an e-mail and we'll sort it out. Paypal buttons and shopping cart will be up soon! :)

October News: Jingu Custom Swordshop has a new website!

Hi everyone,
Our new website is finally up and running!
The URL is still exactly the same:
http://www.jinguswordshop.com

We've added a few more services and a whole new accessories page. We now offer cleaning kits, katana makura, and heaps of different styles of sageo! A price list for our tsukamaki services is now online as well as instructions on how to customise blades through Jingu Swordshop.

We hope the new website is easier to navigate than the previous one, but please (!) let us know if there are any problems with the website, or aspects of it that make it hard to use. We always welcome suggestions and comments about the website. :)

Shop News:

Custom Sayas--
We have been working on various styles of saya finishing. These include: Same inlays, dual-colour sayas, matt and gloss finishes, etc.
Because this batch of custom saya are the first to be sold on our website, we are not charging for any handiwork done on the saya. The only thing we are charging for on saya work are the materials used for its completion (at cost). This is probably the only time we will be offering this deal, so take advantage of it :) Photos of the finished products will be coming soon!!

Armour--
We are no longer offering the Edo-period armour from last month.

News of Things to Come:

December and January--
We will be leaving Australia for the greater portion of December 2006 and part of January 2007. Website updates and e-mails will continue, and we will be returning with more stock. This time around, we are thinking of getting a series of folded blades, some wakizashi, and a few tanto as well. Let us know if you'd like us to pick up any specific items!

Cheers!

-Leslie
