"This extraordinary EDO period (1603 – 1867) reproduction set of traditionally accurate Japanese samurai amour is in almost new condition. This replica was assembled by hand in Japan and should not be compared to any of the cheaper replica sets of amour on the market and is a great investment that should appreciate in value. The techniques used to produce this suite are very similar to the way real suits were crafted. This suit weights approximately the same as the suits of the period and represent what the samurai actually wore. Anyone who has tried on one of the cheaply made copies knows how cumbersome they are. They just were not meant to be worn. This suit was made to wear and is easy to move in. One of my customers who recently purchased a few of these suits from me says that he can wear and move comfortably in this type of suit even though he is 6 feet tall and weights 208 pounds. Plus he is a stickler for authenticity and eagerly endorses this suit. The cord, cloth, metal and leather used in this replica make it beautiful, functional and very durable. The armor set is COMPLETE including the armor chest (box for storage and display) as well as the wooden armor display stand that securely holds the armor up for viewing, as shown in the pictures. The colors of this suit are stunning and almost impossible to depict accurately in pictures. Look closely at the kote (sleeves) pictured and you can see the gorgeous pattern of the material. The kabuto (helmet) is of special interest as it so beautiful and substantial that it could easily be displayed alone. Note the ridges on the helmet and its beautiful ornamentation. Unlike the cheaper copies, this helmet is quite comfortable – no rivets poking you in the head. The helmet rests on your head by its liner and not by the rim (assuming you do not have a very large head) as with many copies. Similar suits of armor have sold recently on eBay for around $3,000.00. So don’t miss this chance to own this finely crafted and beautiful Japanese samurai armor."
